Luthando Nkonya
Luthando aka “Ndoza” Nkonya was born in Mdantsane, South Africa in an area which was known for being notorious. Ndoza grew up in a big family with his grand parents, uncle, aunt and his mother.
Ndoza was introduced into the music scenes as a child when he would sing with his mother and his grand mother in a trio and Ndoza would sing soprano and his grand mother would sing alto and his mother tenor.
Ndoza is still single and always jokes and says, “I'm extremely single at the moment, I have the date which is the 15th Of December 2012, still looking for the lady.”
Ndoza loves travelling and listening to music in his spare time.
In his local church he’s worked in different sections like the Deacon department, the youth department as the youth leader and is currently in the music department as the chorister, a job which he finds very challenging as it needs him to be alone in front of the congregation. Ndoza further explains and says “I’m not a person who feels comfortable being on the stage alone, hence you hardly see me sing solos.”
Luthando is currently singing second tenor (lead) for the quartet.
