Sonwabo Gila
Sonwabo Grey-Lennon Gila was born in a small town of Idutywa, a town situated a few kilometres north of Butterworth, home of Bethel College, Eastern Cape, South Africa. Sonwabo was born in a big family with his brothers and sisters. His father was very athletic which influenced him to enjoy sports.
Because of his upbringing he became a hard worker so much that he enrolled himself at Bethel College for his further education. This was where he met the Adventist church and fell inlove with singing. He accepted the Lord Jesus as his saviour and got baptised at Bethel College. This is also where he met his lovely wife, Sindiswa and got married after he graduated. The Lord has blessed his family with two children, Sange Bulumko (boy) and his last born Lilita (girl).
Sonwabo is currently a member of the “New Creation family singers” and has also sung with the Masters Male chorale before joining the quartet.
“Sobs” enjoys playing tennis in his spare time and is also into producing music and videos. He has devoted his talent to the Lord in singing and is also assisting the church in audio visual services.
